Lee Jung-hoo extends his hitting streak to 14 games, breaking his personal record, and boosts his batting average to third in the National League.

Yesterday, the San Francisco Giants crushed the Chicago Cubs 18-3, but today they lost 2-3 in extra innings due to a walk-off error in the bottom of the 10th. Giants' Korean outfielder Jung Hoo Lee collected two hits in four at-bats and scored once, extending his personal-best hitting streak to 14 games. His season batting average now sits at .324, third best in the National League.

Beginning with the game against the Dodgers on May 15, Lee has recorded at least one hit in each of his last 14 contests, including three games where he had four or more hits. His batting average has climbed from .267 to .324, trailing only Philadelphia's Brandon Marsh (.335) and Miami's Otto Lopez (.333) in the National League. Lee has accumulated 70 hits this season, tied with Marsh for fifth in the league.
