Shohei Ohtani recorded two hits as the Angels' offense exploded to defeat the Dodgers 13-5.

The Los Angeles Dodgers hosted the Los Angeles Angels today in the final game of their three-game freeway series. Having secured two consecutive wins with Roki Sasaki and Yoshinobu Yamamoto on the mound, the Dodgers' bullpen fell apart, deploying seven pitchers and giving up 15 hits and 13 runs. Although the Dodgers' lineup also recorded 11 hits, they could only manage five runs, ultimately losing 13-5 to the Angels.

In the top of the second inning, the Angels took a 2-0 lead on a two-run single by Sebastián Rivero. In the bottom of the third, the Dodgers had runners on first and third, and Kyle Tucker grounded out, allowing the runner from third to score. In the top of the fourth, Rivero delivered another RBI single to extend the lead to 4-1. In the top of the fifth, the Angels loaded the bases on hits and a walk, and Jose Siri singled to drive in two runs, making it 6-1. In the bottom of the sixth, Dalton Rushing hit a three-run homer, and Ryan Ward followed with a solo shot, cutting the deficit to just one run.

But the Dodgers' bullpen collapsed in the top of the seventh, allowing six runs to the Angels, including home runs by Jo Adell and Zach Neto. In the top of the ninth, Rivero added an RBI double, and the Angels won 13-5.

Shohei Ohtani went 2-for-5 with one strikeout in the game. Dodgers' starting catcher Will Smith continued to sit out due to neck discomfort, while backup catcher Rushing went 4-for-4 with a three-run homer. For the Angels, Rivero had a 5-for-5 performance with six RBIs, and Siri recorded three hits and two RBIs.
