Shohei Ohtani, the two-way star for the Los Angeles Dodgers, went 2-for-4 with an RBI, recorded his second multi-hit game in four games, and stole his seventh base of the season, as the Dodgers edged the Royals 6-5. Manager Dave Roberts emphasized after the game that Ohtani's left knee is fine.

In the bottom of the seventh inning, Ohtani singled and then stole second base. It was his first stolen base since May 16 against the Angels, ending a drought of 86 days, and his seventh steal of the season.

After the game, when asked if Ohtani's aggressive baserunning raised concerns about his left knee, Roberts retorted, "What's wrong with his running?" He also stated that Ohtani looked great overall today.

Roberts said Ohtani had a good swing tonight. "When he can drive the ball to the gaps in right-center and left-center, that's when he's at his best." As for baserunning, Roberts reiterated that he saw no issues.
