LeBron James to play against the Heat! Arrived in Miami at 3:59 AM, James ties Parish's record.

On March 20 Beijing time, the Lakers officially announced that James (left foot arthritis) and Doncic (right hip soreness) have been upgraded to available and will play in today's back-to-back game against the Heat. Previously, both of them and Reaves were listed as questionable; after pre-game evaluation, Reaves (right arm contusion) is also confirmed to play against the Heat.

These three players combined for 84 points in the Lakers' 124-116 road win over the Rockets yesterday. After the game, the Lakers flew to Miami and landed at 3:59 AM—much later than most teams arrive in the next city during a back-to-back schedule.

James made 13 of 14 shots in that victory, tying his career-best shooting percentage performance. This was his 1610th regular-season game, just one game away from the appearance record held by Parish. In other words, James will tie Parish's record today.

In the final moments of the Lakers game, James' right elbow hit the floor, causing him to briefly fall down with a painful grimace. After the game, he stated in an ESPN sideline TV interview that he hoped to play against the Heat. This city was his home for four seasons, where he won the first two of his four NBA championships.

Parish, inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2003, has held the NBA's all-time total appearances record alone since April 7, 1996. On that night, he played his 1561st game, surpassing Abdul-Jabbar to become the sole historical leader.

Parish played 50 more regular-season games afterward, retiring after the 1996-97 season. His NBA career began with the Warriors, followed by over ten years with the Celtics, and ended in Charlotte and Chicago after a 21-season career.

"No one deserves to break this 'ironman record'—the 1611-game appearance record—more than James," Parish said in an NBA Radio interview earlier this week. "In my view, he truly deserves it."

This appearance record will become another entry in James' long list of NBA records. He already leads the league historically in multiple statistics, including total points, total minutes played, total field goals made, and total field goals attempted. He also holds the historical records for playing 23 NBA seasons, 22 All-Star selections, and 21 All-NBA Team selections.
