On March 28 Beijing time, the Lakers defeated the Nets 116-99 at home. James contributed 14 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists, and 1 steal. During the game, he assisted Bronny in hitting a three-pointer, marking the first father-son assist in NBA history. After the game, James spoke with the media—

Reporter: Redick said before the game that the first home game after a long road trip, even though it's in your own arena, feels like a continuation of the road trip. Throughout your career, you've always managed to overcome this fatigue. How do you adjust when facing a young team?
James: Simply put, we have games to play and wins to pursue. So we bring all our energy and effort. This road trip was indeed exhausting, the travel was draining. Redick is right; he played 15 years in the league, his experience is vast. The first home game after a long road trip is always tough, regardless of the opponent or their record. But we stabilized in the fourth quarter, defended well for a few possessions, Reaves hit a crucial shot, and we ultimately secured the win.
Reporter: Luka Doncic is currently in a hot offensive streak. How do you keep up with his rhythm and play off his scoring momentum?
James: We just play our game. Obviously, he is the focal point of our offense, then Reaves. Those two attract so much defensive attention. He's shooting ridiculously well right now, hitting threes with extreme accuracy, and as always getting to the free-throw line with high efficiency. We all follow his rhythm.

Reporter: Since you and Bronny have been playing together, this was the first time a father assisted his son for a score. Can you describe that moment and your feelings at the time?
James: I'll just say, cherish the present, don't take us playing together for granted. This is already our second consecutive game playing significant minutes together. And he delivered another impressive performance. In the second quarter, the opponent had a momentum surge, they really had a run. I was double-teamed and made the right decision. He caught the ball, faked a pass to the corner, and then directly hit the three-pointer. For our entire family, it was a truly special moment.
Reporter: We've seen his shooting improve year by year in the G League, becoming very consistent. Redick also mentioned it; we know his athleticism and defense have always been there. Watching him grow, how do you think his shooting has become so confident and steady?
James: He's just gradually returning to his pre-injury form. He could always shoot; his shooting has been solid throughout his playing career. I think it's confidence, rhythm slowly coming back, strength returning, physical condition recovering. Everything is getting back on track, just like before the injury. So seeing him shoot so accurately now is no surprise to me.
Reporter: You're about to have your first multi-day break without games since mid-January. How important is this, especially after such a long road trip?
James: It's crucial, hugely significant. We must make good use of this time.

Reporter: Before the game, Redick also said Doncic is the engine of the half-court offense, while you are now the team's engine in transition. How much impact do you think you can still bring in pushing the pace and speeding up transitions?
James: I believe I'm ranked first in the league for transition scoring. This is something I've always been able to do and have consistently done, from when I started playing. As I said, Doncic controls the half-court offensive tempo, while I apply pressure on defense across the full court, creating scoring opportunities before the defense sets up. That's not a problem for me.
Reporter: You always talk about developing championship habits. During this period, what good habits do you think the team and yourself have shown?
James: During the road trip, we indeed faced many difficult moments, many games had twists. But we are a very resilient team, we know how to execute late in games, handle crucial moments, and never back down. We will continue to cultivate these habits, in the remaining roughly 8 games, continuously preparing for the playoffs.
