Caught in trade rumors! Brown lists his Boston luxury home for sale: nearly $5 million in total.

On June 6, Beijing time, according to a report by a website under the Boston Globe, Celtics star Jaylen Brown, who is caught up in trade speculation, has put his penthouse at 49 Melcher Street back on the market. The listing includes a hidden perk: the adjacent studio apartment is bundled in the sale, which Brown often used during his stay. The two properties together cover 3,500 square feet (approximately 325 square meters), with a total asking price of $4.995 million (about 33.9 million RMB) and a monthly homeowners association fee of $2,449 (roughly 16,600 RMB).

It is reported that this property was listed separately in 2024 for the main apartment at $4.75 million, but it failed to sell and has been rented out since. The apartment features four bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, and the building houses the famous steakhouse Mu O Harbour Restaurant. The overall style is vintage industrial, as the building was originally a factory. The layout is open and airy; located on a corner, the unit enjoys dual-aspect lighting from Melcher and Necco Streets, providing excellent natural light. Like most buildings in the Fort Point area, the structure was built in 1910 by the Boston Wharf Company.

The real estate agent commented: "It's rare to find a nearly 3,000-square-foot property with an open layout, exposed brick, and wooden beams offering a vintage feel, and having a classic Boston steakhouse downstairs is a huge bonus." The attached studio apartment is about 350 square feet (approximately 32 square meters), featuring its own kitchen and living/sleeping area, also retaining the original wooden beam ceiling. The master suite includes a walk-in closet, a double-sink bathroom, and a walk-in shower, with a designated space for a washer. A spiral staircase leads to a 400-square-foot (about 37 square meters) rooftop terrace, from which you can enjoy panoramic city views.

Speaking about Brown's time living there, the agent noted that the star appreciated the proximity to the highway, making it convenient to commute to practice, with a restaurant right downstairs, as well as a quiet and secluded community environment. "He prefers a low-key and peaceful living environment. He is usually busy and comes and goes quickly, and in his spare time, he hosts dinners and gatherings at home. The location is lively but not noisy, offering easy access to everything from transportation to dining and entertainment."

Will Brown really be traded? Let's wait and see.
