On June 8, Beijing time, Game 3 of the NBA Finals will take place tomorrow at Madison Square Garden, with the New York Knicks facing the San Antonio Spurs. The atmosphere will undoubtedly be roaring, yet the exorbitant ticket costs are keeping many fans away.

It is the first NBA Finals game at Madison Square Garden since 1999. Knicks forward Josh Hart stated in an interview that the ticket prices for this matchup are absurdly expensive.
"The atmosphere is going to be incredibly intense, and we're thrilled to have home-court advantage and the fans' support. But I really wish the ticket prices weren't so outrageous," Hart said. "So many fans have been waiting for this moment for a long time, but unfortunately, they simply can't afford to get in. The cheapest tickets are seven or eight thousand dollars—that's just not reasonable."

On Friday, the Knicks narrowly defeated the Spurs 105-104 at the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, taking a 2-0 series lead. According to ticketing platform TickPick, there are still over a thousand tickets available for Games 3 and 4, with prices remaining sky-high. Data shows that the current lowest price for Game 3 of the Finals is $6,477 (about 43,964 RMB), while the lowest price for Game 4 is $11,961 (approximately 81,188 RMB).

The Knicks' last NBA championship came in 1973, and the city has long yearned for a title. The team previously reached the Finals in 1994 and 1999 but fell short both times. This year's squad has given fans hope of ending the championship drought.
The Knicks seized home-court advantage from the Spurs with two hard-fought wins: in the first game, they rallied from a 14-point deficit in the second half to win 105-95; in the second, the Spurs mounted a furious comeback, but ultimately fell short on their home floor.
In the upcoming home games, the Knicks aim to avoid making the same mistakes as their opponents. However, it must be said that the sky-high ticket prices prevent many die-hard fans from attending the games in person.
