The governor of Pennsylvania personally stepped in to secure LeBron James! James has set another historic record in jersey sales.

Something has gotten into LeBron James lately—he's been sharing a lot of motivational life quotes on social media over the past two days. For example: "Have faith, set goals, make plans, work hard, achieve success, thank the heavens, and stay humble."

"Smooth sailing doesn't make you grow; only through hardships can you truly develop. The current path may seem hopeless, but as long as you endure the test and keep moving forward, you will succeed."

"Work hard, maintain your image, eat regularly, speak less and act cautiously, stay humble, avoid trouble, and chase your goals."

"Half of your charm comes from the way you speak and treat others."

"To accomplish anything, you don't need to be a genius. You just need what most people lack—perseverance, determination, and the willingness to put in the effort."

Wow, LeBron is really giving himself some pep talk. Indeed, once you hit middle age, you start having all kinds of reflections.

LeBron probably knows well that after signing a two-year, $8 million contract with the Philadelphia 76ers, a variety of challenges will follow. He's going all in to end the NBA championship drought in Philadelphia. He came here not for the money, but for joy and glory.

This requires the entire 76ers team to unite and work as one. Teammate Jaylen Brown tweeted today: "The glory we lost will be reclaimed."

Embiid updated his social media, writing: "I have a good feeling about October. The playoffs will be very interesting."

Earlier, according to reporter Dave McMenamin, Embiid's recruitment pitch to James was straightforward—he told James that he is now very healthy.

Embiid has played only 96 games over the past three seasons combined, and only 38 last season due to injury. Next season, even if he doesn't play the full regular season, he should aim for around 70 games. Step up and stay healthy—a healthy Embiid greatly impacts the 76ers' ceiling.

Another 76ers star teammate, Maxey, has been training with James during the last two offseasons, and they have built a deep friendship from early on.

Reporter Chris Haynes reported today: "Maxey has been very proactive, constantly calling and texting James, promising that he is available to answer any questions James has. This has eased a lot of James's concerns. The 76ers' advantage lies in having a roster that balances youth and veteran leadership, while the management is certainly not sitting idly by."

After James joined the 76ers, Philadelphia showed him immense respect and rolled out the red carpet.

Philadelphia is located in the state of Pennsylvania, and Governor Shapiro revealed on a show today that during a dinner party last week, he personally recruited James to join the 76ers: "I took a bold shot and told LeBron how much the people of Philadelphia yearn for his arrival, that he can absolutely win a championship here, and that this is a perfect stage for him to showcase his talent. I'm very glad he ultimately chose Philadelphia."

With Philadelphia landing LeBron, the Pennsylvania governor declared last Friday as "LeBron James Day." It's extremely rare in sports history for a state to dedicate an entire day to one athlete.

According to 76ers reporter John Clark, citing Fanatics, within 48 hours of James announcing his decision to join the 76ers,his 76ers jersey sales surpassed all NBA players who transferred this year, and also broke the historical record set by baseball player Shohei Ohtani after he joined the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2023.

Today, 76ers legend Allen Iverson spoke about James on a show: "I'm just happy for the city of Philadelphia, brother. He brings so much,he really is the answer."

For now, should we stop calling him King James and start calling him Answer James?
