Yang Hanshen has a new teammate! The Blazers officially announce the signing of Sochan on a one-year non-guaranteed contract to compete for a roster spot.

On August 3, Beijing time, Trail Blazers general manager Joe Cronin officially announced today that the team has signed forward Jeremy Sochan. Yang Hanshen welcomes another new teammate. According to previous reports, Sochan signed a one-year non-guaranteed contract and will participate in the Blazers' training camp, competing for a regular roster spot.

In the 2025-26 season, Sochan initially played for the San Antonio Spurs, appearing in 28 regular-season games, averaging 12.8 minutes, 4.1 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.0 assists, with a shooting percentage of 47.5%. Mid-season, he was traded to the New York Knicks, where he played 16 regular-season games, averaging 6.9 minutes, contributing 2.8 points and 2.1 rebounds, with a shooting percentage of 56.7%.

During the Knicks' playoff run to the 2026 NBA championship, Sochan appeared in 8 playoff games, averaging 3.3 minutes, recording 2.5 points and 0.6 rebounds.

Sochan stands 2.03 meters tall and weighs 104 kilograms. He was selected by the Spurs with the 9th overall pick in the first round of the 2022 NBA Draft. Throughout his career, Sochan has played in 228 NBA regular-season games (149 starts), averaging 9.9 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 2.5 assists, with a shooting percentage of 47.0%.
