Brown reveals successful weight loss! Can jump higher and run faster: I need to keep up with Maxey and James' pace.

On August 5, Beijing time, Jaylen Brown discussed in a live stream his trade to Philadelphia, his thoughts on the 76ers' roster, and how he will start a new chapter in his career. For the 2024 Finals MVP, the top priority is only one thing: winning.

"At this stage of my career, I can say I'm more eager to win than ever before," he said. "Nothing motivates me more than winning. For some reason, I felt a bit undervalued during this trade process. I'm solely focused on winning. So I'm really looking forward to this journey, the adaptation process, team leadership, necessary sacrifices, and everything it takes to win a championship."

The team has four stars with high usage rates, which will inevitably require an adjustment period. In the 2025-26 regular season, Brown (usage rate 35.1%), Embiid (33.6%), Tyrese Maxey (28.6%), and LeBron James (26.2%) all rank among the top 50 players in league usage rate.

"We need a lot of mutual exploration and adjustment, everyone reaching consensus, and maintaining continuous communication."Brown said. He also revealed that in preparation for the 2026-27 season, he lost about 7 pounds this offseason.

"It's to become faster and more agile. This year I need to keep up with the pace of Maxey, Echium, and LeBron," Brown said. "I'm in great shape now, jumping higher and running faster."

Being able to play alongside these teammates obviously excites Brown, especially partnering with James. He emphasized that he is very eager to learn from the all-time leading scorer.

"We have Bron (LeBron), what a rare opportunity," Brown said. "I have the chance to learn from one of the greatest players ever. On and off the court, I can absorb experience and enrich my own knowledge."

Brown talked about his recent skydiving experience in Egypt. He even revealed that he messaged James, Echium, Maxey, and Embiid: if the 76ers win the 2026-27 championship, the whole team will go skydiving.

How did James respond? "Kid, don't even think about it."

Brown mentioned more new teammates than just James.

"There are others on the team worth learning from. Embiid, Maxey, Echium, and veterans like Pope and Anfernee Simons. It will be very interesting." The two briefly worked together in Boston during the 2025-26 season, and now Simons and Brown will reunite in Philadelphia. "He contributed to winning during his time with the Celtics, and his defense was solid," Brown commented. "Whatever the team needed him to do, he did it."

During the live stream, Brown put on a 76ers jersey for the first time, wearing the team's black retro jersey honoring Iverson and the 76ers team that reached the Finals in the 2000-01 season. Last year when facing the 76ers, Brown admired the jersey when he saw the opponents wearing it. The huge identity change also made him emotional. Brown mentioned that this is the first time in his ten-year career that he has worn a jersey of another team.

"It feels like we've jumped into another timeline," he said. "Like being in another dimension, a parallel universe or something. No matter which time or space, which team I play for, my goal is to win. I'm looking forward to it."

What surprised Brown was that just 11 days after he was traded, Iverson was already wearing a 76ers jersey with his number.

"How did this legendary veteran get the jersey?" he joked. "I was just traded a few days ago, and the veteran is already wearing it."

This week, Brown will visit Philadelphia for the first time since the trade. At 2 p.m. ET on Thursday, he will attend the introductory press conference, and later that evening, he will serve as the ceremonial first pitch thrower at the Phillies vs. Nationals baseball game.

"I'm really looking forward to this, and also looking forward to watching the Phillies game," Brown said. "This is undoubtedly a major turning point in my career and life. I'm incredibly excited. Philadelphia, let's go. Let's play."
