What is KeSPA Cup 2026?

The KeSPA Cup is an annual League of Legends tournament organized by the Korean e-Sports Association. The 2026 edition marks the 10th time LoL has appeared in the KeSPA Cup.

Unlike many previous seasons held in the latter part of the year, KeSPA Cup 2026 has been moved to summer and runs for nearly a month, from July 20 to August 18. Matches are mostly held on Mondays and Tuesdays each week.

This year's tournament has no international guest teams. All 10 slots belong to the teams currently competing in the LCK.

KeSPA Cup 2026 Tournament Format

Preliminary Round

• The 10 teams are split into two groups of five.
• Teams will play against opponents from the other group.
• Matches are played in Bo1 format.
• The top four teams from each group advance to Final Stage 1.

Final Stage 1

• Eight teams compete in a modified Swiss format.
• Teams with the same ranking in the preliminary round are paired together.
• Final Stage 1 consists of a total of four rounds.
• The teams with the best records advance to Final Stage 2.

Final Stage 2

• All rounds are played in Bo5 format.
• The winner of the final match becomes the KeSPA Cup 2026 champion.

The new format gives each team more opportunities to test their lineups while reducing the risk of elimination after a single poor match.
