World of Tanks' "Mafia" crossover event is launching, featuring tanks and zero-skill crew members from the gang for limited-time recruitment.

In the turbulent 1920s and 1930s of America, the Great Depression era gave rise to numerous underworld legends. The game series that best depicts this era is "Mafia."

Recently, "Mafia" has had an unexpected crossover—World of Tanks is launching a new crossover battle pass chapter! Like previous ones, this crossover is rich in details and full of Easter eggs.

The crossover involves "Mafia I," whose protagonist Tommy is a taxi driver from Sicily. After accidentally saving a gang member, he is forced to join the Salieri family. He rises within the gang due to his abilities, but witnessing the brutality and betrayal of gang conflicts makes him consider leaving. Betrayed by his brother when planning to quit, Tommy ultimately testifies against the "big boss" Salieri to the police.

Although sentenced, after release he enjoys decades of family life, only to be targeted for revenge when the "big boss" is released from prison. Before dying, he reflects, "Only family is eternal."

Tommy at his final moments

According to the event preview video, the crossover tank, the Predator, features many themed 3D attachments. For example, the right side of the hull carries a set of racing components, including racing wheels and intake grilles. These pay homage to Tommy's past when he drove racing cars for the family and won championships.

The two attachments on the roof—a twin-mounted Thompson submachine gun and taxi lights—are straightforward. They represent tools Tommy used before and after joining the gang, one being an essential weapon for American mobsters.

Besides the classic-themed 3D attachments, the crossover tank—the Italian "Predator"—also boasts noteworthy performance.

As an Italian medium tank, it has a four-round autoreloader gun with a short reload of 2.5 seconds and 320 damage per shot. Most importantly, its DPM is quite high among autoreloader tanks. Fully equipped, reload times can reach 12.86/10.31/7.72/6 seconds; firing only the last shell yields a DPM of 3200!

Its dispersion values are also good at 0.08/0.16/0.16, excellent for an autoreloader tank. A 1.79-second aim time and 0.29 accuracy make it a solid sniper. Meanwhile, a top speed of 60+ and power-to-weight ratio of 20+ perfectly match Tommy's "old driver" identity.

Overall, whether due to the nostalgia of the "Mafia" IP or the Predator's superior performance, this World of Tanks crossover has become a highly sought-after choice.

Whether you're a nostalgia fan or a performance enthusiast, you can check out this crossover battle pass. After completing it, you only need 3500 gold to obtain a strong tier 9 premium tank, plus Tommy and his buddy Paulie as crew members with voice lines and zero skills, making it quite a worthwhile deal.
