Hello everyone, I'm Game Xiaodi.
This season is more than halfway done, yet Dayu, the new hero introduced last season, still hasn't seen a Brave skin—it's rather odd. In Season 28, the official announcement changed the rule for a new hero's first skin. Previously, a 288-point skin would launch alongside the hero, but it was later adjusted to releasing a Brave skin about three months after the hero's debut. However, five months have now passed since Dayu's release, and the Brave skin is still nowhere to be seen.

Dayu is in an awkward spot—good win rate but low popularity, much like Athena. His win rate ranks among the top three in all tiers, exceeding 55% in the overall bracket and approaching 54% in mid-to-high tiers like ranked mode. Unfortunately, his pick rate is low, failing to break 10% across all segments, especially in the general bracket where it's under 5%.

Regardless of a new hero's strength or popularity, the first skin still needs to be released eventually.
In fact, from Season 28 onward, except for the Yuanliuzi heroes that don't require Brave skins, King of Glory has mostly been punctual. Skins like Gojia's "Dangerous Wildflower," Haiyue's "Mirage Spring Mist," Zhaohuazhen's "Tai Chi Youth," Yalian's "Breaker," Duoliliya's "Golden Tide," Ying's "Charming Silks," Kongkong'er's "Dream Parade," and Sun Quan's "Jingshan Conspiracy" all launched around the three-month mark.

Some even came early—for example, Ji Xiaoman's "Snack Battle" and Chicha's "Aurora Voyager" appeared in just over two months, while Haino's "Time Spy" and Dasiming's "Dark Shadow" arrived within two months. Haino's Brave skin, in particular, launched only about 43 days after his release, setting a record for the fastest skin. Of course, this excludes Cang, whose case is special: his hero upgrade came with a reworked "Viking Raider" skin that debuted alongside the new version.

Delays have happened too. Laixiao's "Western Ranger" took four months, while Shaosiyuan's "Spirit Hex Riddle" arrived only after five and a half months. The longest delay belongs to Aoyin, whose first Brave skin didn't appear until this year—over two years later, making it the most delayed Brave skin in the game's history.

As for Dayu, he's now approaching the five-month mark. While that's a long wait, it's still far from Aoyin's record. I'm sure preparations are already underway, so please be patient. By the way, I've made a few fan-made Brave skins for Dayu—just for fun and entertainment. Don't take them too seriously!

That's all for today. If you enjoyed this, feel free to leave a like. If you have anything to say, ask, or want to see, drop a comment—I'll read them all!
