Hello everyone, I'm Game Xiaodi.
I wonder how many new players are still joining Honor of Kings? Most people reading news and guides are likely veteran players—for instance, Xiaodi has been playing for ten years. But as a veteran, you might not know how generous the newcomer benefits are now, because the official team has specifically optimized this part. Compared to before, it's much better. Let's take a look at the welfare for new players this time.

At the start of the game, after completing a match, the system directly gives you three heroes: Hou Yi, Arthur, and Angela.
The Newbie Lobby section has four parts: Login Rewards, Daily Matches, Carnival, and Recharge Gifts.
First is Login Rewards, the simplest part—players just need to log in for 14 cumulative days. The rewards are quite impressive: directly giving 3 heroes and 4 skins. The heroes are Luban No.7, Daji, and Xiang Yu; the skins are Hou Yi's Alpha Squad, Arthur's Death Knight, Angela's Doll Duo, and Daji's Vegas Charm. Besides these, there are also plenty of skin shards, gold, and rune fragments.

Next is Daily Matches—you need to complete match tasks every day. After finishing, you get Hero Self-Selection Packs, a total of 7, each containing different heroes. For example, on the first day you can choose one from Xiao Qiao, Sun Shangxiang, Zhuang Zhou, Zhong Wuyan, and Li Yuanfang; on the seventh day, you can pick one from Donghuang Taiyi, Zhang Liang, Cao Cao, Xia Houdun, and Cang. This part gives up to 7 heroes.

Then comes Carnival, which is more complex—you need to complete various tasks like assists, kills, and destroying towers to earn enough points. Reaching the target rewards you with Kai and his Dragon Lord skin, plus 5-level rune experience cards and so on.

Finally, there are Recharge Gifts—these require spending money. Accumulated 400 RMB gives you Zhao Yun's Ninja·Flame Shadow. However, Xiaodi recalls that this skin can be obtained for free through the Gift Book system in the game, so this option isn't very cost-effective.

This part is about ranks. The officials encourage players to challenge higher tiers, from Bronze III all the way to Platinum I, but it has to be unlocked gradually. For a newly registered account, you can directly challenge from Bronze III to Silver I—winning gives you a rank boost, losing doesn't lose stars. It almost feels like an encouragement to create smurf accounts.

Then there's Skill Training, covering basic operations. Completing it rewards you with Daji's Little Fox Alice skin. It hasn't changed and remains the same reward.

Overall, the rewards are quite generous—14 heroes are given directly, which would take new players a lot of time to accumulate through resource exchange. As for skins, 6 are given directly, excluding the one that requires recharge (Zhao Yun's skin). Among these, Angela's Doll Duo, Kai's Dragon Lord, and Hou Yi's Alpha Squad are all sold in the shop, though there are also other free ways to obtain them in the game now.
