VCT: happywei gives his all to lead the team, XLG turns the tables and eliminates DRG with a 2-1 victory

In the second round of the Valorant London Masters Swiss stage, the 0-1 group, XLG knocked out DRG 2-1 and moved into the 1-1 group.

Map one: Yinshi Xiustuo

DRG on defense: Ling, Ni Hong, Huan Leng, Si Kai, You Ying

XLG on attack: Lie Xiao, Bu Si Niao, Jie Feng, You Ying, Ling

DRG secured the pistol round in the first half, but XLG immediately forced a buy and overturned it. In round 4, NoMan caught multiple DRG players on A long, and during the 2v3 retake, V's play turned the tide.

After scoring two points, XLG went silent and played too hesitantly on offense. DRG, on the other hand, heated up and took four consecutive rounds with high execution efficiency.

In round 9, Rarga eliminated two enemies while penetrating C site, and happywei finished the clutch, giving XLG a comeback round.

However, DRG continued to control the match afterward. XLG played too conservatively and indecisively on attack, securing only three points in the first half, two of which were comebacks.

In the second half, DRG won the pistol round. In round 15, DRG rushed A quickly and won XLG's bonus round after a chaotic fight.

XLG clawed back one point in round 16, but DRG had already reached match point. With no room for error, XLG lost round 17 as DRG rushed C and took it.

Map two: Liebian Xiagu

DRG on attack: Ling, Bu Si Niao, Hei Meng, Huan Leng, Lian Yu

DRG started with three straight wins. In round 4, XLG eco'd and then stopped DRG's attack on B site, taking the round.

In round 5, NoMan secured a crucial four-kill to lead the team to another point, giving XLG three consecutive rounds.

In round 7, Huan Leng delayed the bomb on B. Although Rarga won the clutch, there wasn't enough time to defuse.

XLG achieved a four-round win streak, leading by two points at halftime.

In the second half, DRG continued to dominate the pistol round. XLG won the bonus round, and then happywei stepped up with a triple kill.

When switching to attack, DRG went completely silent. After winning the bonus round, XLG went on a five-round tear.

In round 22, XLG sped up their B push, wiping out all DRG defenders on B site. Nicc faced a 1v3 retake but couldn't turn it around, and XLG took map two.

Map three: Nihong Ding

XLG on attack: Kui She, You Ying, Si Kai, Lei Zi, Huan Leng

XLG opened with three consecutive points. In round 4, DRG pulled off a comeback on B site.

In round 5, Life was caught while pushing B, but then happywei single-handedly tore through B site.

happywei grew hotter and hotter, constantly leading the team to score. In round 8, Huan Leng went on a rampage mid, taking down four enemies and nearly getting an ACE.

happywei broke DRG completely on the flank, and XLG dominated the first half, building a four-point lead.

In the second half, DRG again took the pistol round. In round 16, happywei held the A second-floor window and eliminated the bomb carrier, helping XLG secure another point.

In round 18, happywei got the first kill, and XLG held B site with a perfect team wipe. DRG then chased back three rounds. In round 22, Huan Leng delivered an ACE, and DRG kept closing the gap.

In round 23, DRG barely made it into A and planted the spike. XLG's 3v2 retake failed as Huan Leng won the duel again.

DRG continued their comeback, but in the crucial round 24, DRG's attack on A was stopped by XLG. XLG won map three 13-11.
