T1 unexpectedly seized the top spot in the 2026 LCK after HLE's stumble.

Despite not being at their most stable level, T1 turned out to be the team that gained the most from a chaotic week of LCK 2026 action, surpassing HLE to take first place in the Legend table.

The opening week of the Rounds 3–4 of the 2026 LCK saw a series of unpredictable results. Lower-ranked teams like KT Rolster and Dplus KIA surprisingly performed at a high level, putting significant pressure on the top contenders.

T1 themselves faced difficulties, losing to KT Rolster 0–2. However, Faker and his teammates quickly regained their composure with a convincing 2–0 victory over Gen.G. This result helped T1 limit the damage and maintain a record of 15 wins and 5 losses. T1 also benefited partly from the decline of direct rivals in the standings such as KT and HLE.

Meanwhile, direct competitor HLE endured a disappointing week. Two consecutive losses to Dplus KIA and KT Rolster caused the team to lose the advantage they had held for months.

Although T1 and HLE share the same 15–5 record, Faker's team ranks higher due to a better game score. This means T1 didn't directly seize the top spot through a dominant performance, but they still successfully capitalized on their opponents' missteps.

Nevertheless, T1's first-place position is still not truly secure. The gap between the strong teams in the Legend division is narrow, while KT and Dplus KIA are showing clear improvement. Just one unfavorable result in the upcoming rounds could shift the entire standings.

Notably, T1 will face Dplus KIA and HLE in the next week of play. These are seen as two crucial tests that will determine whether Faker and his teammates have truly regained their form or are merely temporarily benefiting from their opponents' decline. But if T1 performs at a high level, they will have a huge advantage in the race for a ticket to Worlds 2026.
