Forward who once scored against Vietnam's national team joins the bottom-ranked V.League club

Forward Mahmoud Eid has just joined PVF-CAND to help the bottom-ranked team strengthen its position in the V.League relegation battle.

PVF-CAND club has officially announced the signing of forward Mahmoud Eid, a former striker of Nam Dinh, in an effort to bolster the squad for the relegation race in the V.League 2025/26. The arrival of the Palestinian national team player is expected to bring a fresh impetus to the attacking line of the police-affiliated club during the decisive phase of the season.

Mahmoud Eid, born in 1993, is an experienced player who has represented the Palestinian national team and played in various football leagues worldwide. Throughout his career, this forward has competed in Sweden, Denmark, Indonesia, Qatar, Bahrain, Thailand, and Vietnam. Playing in diverse environments has enabled Eid to develop a quick adaptability and contribute a versatile attacking style.

Before joining PVF-CAND, Mahmoud Eid previously played for Nam Dinh Club with high expectations to enhance the attacking power of the Nam-based team. However, his time at Thiên Trường Stadium did not unfold as anticipated, as the Palestinian striker faced difficulties in competing for a starting position and could not fully integrate into the team's tactical system.

Nevertheless, with extensive playing experience and a versatile attacking capability, Mahmoud Eid is still considered a suitable signing by PVF-CAND, given the club's current struggles in this season's V.League.

After 15 matches, PVF-CAND has only secured 11 points and is currently placed at the bottom of the standings. An ineffective attack is one of the reasons why the police-affiliated team has consistently faced disadvantages in the relegation battle. Therefore, adding an internationally experienced forward like Mahmoud Eid is seen as a solution to improve scoring ability in the remaining part of the season.

PVF-CAND's coaching staff believes that if he quickly adapts to the team's playing style, Mahmoud Eid could become a key figure in the attack, helping the club improve its performance and maintain hopes of staying in the V.League 2025/26. As the season enters a tense phase, every reinforcement can make a difference, and Mahmoud Eid is expected to bring that to PVF-CAND.

Notably, Mahmoud Eid once made Vietnamese football fans remember him by scoring a goal against the Vietnam national team at Mỹ Đình Stadium. His goal contributed to Palestine's 3-1 victory over Vietnam in a friendly match held on November 9, 2014.
