Vietnamese-origin forward Antonio Moric will be facilitated to train with the Vietnam U23 team during their assembly period in Hanoi.
According to official information from the Vietnam Football Federation, Vietnamese-origin forward Antonio Moric (NK Trnje Club – Croatia) – one of the figures receiving considerable attention will be temporarily transferred to train with the Vietnam U23 national team for continued monitoring and evaluation in a higher-level professional environment.
This is considered a good opportunity for Antonio Moric to learn and accumulate more experience alongside senior teammates in the Vietnam U23 squad.
Previously, Antonio was named in the Vietnam U19 squad assembled in the first phase of 2026. The 2008-born player, standing 1.81m tall, is highly regarded for his versatile playing ability, capable of performing as a central midfielder or taking on roles as a left or right winger.
Notably, Antonio Moric was born in Hanoi and already holds a Vietnamese passport. This qualifies him to represent national teams at various levels. With dual Vietnamese-Croatian heritage – his father is Croatian and his mother Vietnamese – Moric is expected to become a notable figure in Vietnam's youth football in the future.
On March 16 afternoon, the Croatian-origin Vietnamese player had his first training session with the Vietnam U19 team at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center. According to plan, he will return to the Vietnam U19 team when the Vietnam U23 squad moves to China to participate in the CFA Team China 2026 tournament.
