Vietnam U23 midfielder Antonio Moric stated that he currently prioritizes continuing his career in Europe.
On March 19 afternoon in Hanoi, before joining the Vietnam U23 team's training session for the CFA Team China – Xi'an 2026 International Football Tournament, Vietnamese-Croatian player Antonio Moric shared his feelings about his first inclusion in the squad, his integration process, and his future development plans with the media.
Regarding his future direction, Moric said he currently prioritizes continuing to play in Europe to develop his skills comprehensively. According to the player, European and Asian football have certain differences in environment and competition quality. However, Moric also affirmed that he is always ready to contribute to the Vietnam national team when opportunities arise, while keeping open the possibility of returning to play in V-League in the future.
Additionally, Moric recalled a memorable moment when he scored five goals in a U18 match for NK Trnje, after a period of inactivity due to injury. This is considered a milestone that helped him confirm his comeback and build trust with the club's coaching staff.
Taking star midfielder Luka Modric as his role model, Moric said he always admires the Croatian star's persistent playing spirit, class, and leadership role. This is also the motivation for the young player to continue striving to improve himself.
Antonio Moric was born in 2008 in Hanoi, with a Vietnamese mother and a Croatian father. He has previously visited Vietnam to participate in some football summer camps and currently plays for NK Trnje in the Croatian Second Division. He possesses a good physical foundation, decent individual technique, and can flexibly play in attacking positions, both as a center forward and a winger.
Being promoted from the Vietnam U19 team to try out with the Vietnam U23 team in this training camp is an important step in the process of testing and evaluating his abilities, thereby opening up opportunities for Moric's long-term contribution to Vietnam's national teams in the future.
