Among the notable names, Hoang Trong Duy Khang emerges as a promising talent. The 2008-born player left a strong impression while wearing the Vietnam U17 jersey, especially at the 2025 AFC U17 Asian Cup Finals. He impressed with a goal against Australia U17 just minutes after entering the field, showcasing neat handling and a surprising finish from a tight angle.

Not stopping there, Duy Khang continued to shine in the match against UAE U17 with a sharp cut-in and finish, demonstrating excellent positional selection and spatial awareness. The Hue-born player once won the double titles of Best Player and Top Scorer at the 2023 National U15 tournament with 7 goals, and also contributed significantly to PVF's championship journey at youth levels.

Possessing a height of about 1.76m, Duy Khang is not overly dominant in physique but stands out due to his technique, composure, and quick situational handling ability. These qualities make him one of the anticipated elements for Vietnam U19 in the coming period.

According to the plan, Vietnam U19 will gather and train from March 17th to March 29th at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center. In the initial phase, the coaching staff will monitor and evaluate each player's form to gain a comprehensive overview of the squad.

After about a week of training, Coach Yutaka Ikeuchi is expected to screen the squad, cutting 10 to 15 players and simultaneously calling up some new faces. Creating internal competition is seen as a crucial factor to help the coaching staff select the most suitable players for Vietnam U19 on their journey towards upcoming international tournaments.
