Vietnam National Team divides into three assembly groups from March 21 to maximize resources, readying for the matches against Bangladesh and Malaysia later this month.
Vietnam National Team is implementing an assembly plan in a unique manner by dividing the squad into three groups, commencing on March 21 in Hanoi. This flexible approach aims to ensure optimal preparation time before the crucial matches at the month's end.
According to the plan, players will assemble sequentially at the Grand Plaza Hotel between March 21 and 24. Grouping not only helps the coaching staff better monitor fitness but also accommodates the dense domestic club schedule at this time.
The first group gathers on March 21 morning, including players from Hanoi, Nam Dinh, Hai Phong, and Hoang Anh Gia Lai. Notably among them are two naturalized players, Do Hoang Hen and Nguyen Xuan Son, who are receiving significant attention regarding their form and integration ability.
The second group will arrive on March 22 with players from Ninh Binh and The Cong Viettel, as these teams are busy competing in the National Cup. Notable figures include Dang Van Lam, Nguyen Hoang Duc, and Khuat Van Khang.
The final group assembles on March 24, consisting of players from Cong An Hanoi Club after completing a postponed V-League match. Among them are numerous key pillars such as Nguyen Quang Hai, Nguyen Filip, and Doan Van Hau, helping complete the squad before March 24.
After having all 23 players, Vietnam National Team will enter the final preparation phase. The team plans a friendly match against Bangladesh on March 26 at Hang Day Stadium, before moving to Ninh Binh for the match against Malaysia on March 31 in the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers. These are two crucial tests for the coaching staff's ambitions in the upcoming period.
