He expressed his emotion after waiting for this opportunity for a long time and affirmed that he will strive wholeheartedly to contribute to the team. “I am very happy and proud to wear the Vietnamese national team jersey. I love Vietnam and will try to perform well for the flag and jersey,” Hoàng Hên shared.

This midfielder stated that he received encouragement from coach Kim Sang-sik on the very first day of training camp, with advice to play freely and showcase his best abilities. Additionally, he quickly integrated with his teammates, especially familiar players from his club such as Duy Mạnh, Hai Long, Tuấn Hải, or Nguyễn Xuân Son – a friend who has played alongside him for a long time at Thép Xanh Nam Định Club. Hoàng Hên affirmed that the whole team is aiming for a good result against Bangladesh, thereby building momentum for the crucial match against Malaysia.
