De Gea prevents the Serie A leaders from securing a victory

Inter Milan was held to a 1-1 draw by Fiorentina in this season's Serie A round 30. Among them, former Manchester United goalkeeper De Gea contributed to helping Fiorentina earn one point.

Inter entered the match against Fiorentina without Bastoni, Lautaro Martinez, and Henrikh Mkhitaryan due to injuries. Nevertheless, the team leading the Serie A standings took an early lead while visiting the Artemio Franchi stadium.

Fiorentina's net shook at the 40th second. Following Robin Gosens' clearance, Nicolò Barella delivered a cross from the right flank. Inside, Francesco Pio Esposito leaped high for a close-range header to beat goalkeeper De Gea.

Gosens nearly made a mistake immediately afterward, allowing Esposito to face David De Gea, but this player's shot lacked accuracy.

Fiorentina responded when Albert Gudmundsson nearly scored with a header inside the penalty area at the 21st minute, but the ball went wide. The home team pressed forward in the remaining minutes but could not find a goal. The first half ended with a 1-0 advantage for Inter Milan.

In the second half, Fiorentina increased pressure on Inter's half. Inter's defense was put on alert at the 71st minute. Goalkeeper Sommer pushed away Ndour's strike. Brescianini rushed in for a follow-up shot, but Yann Bisseck timely cleared the ball to rescue Inter.

Fiorentina's persistence was finally rewarded at the 77th minute. Albert Gudmundsson shot inside the penalty area; although Sommer pushed the ball away, Ndour promptly rushed in for a close-range follow-up to equalize the score 1-1.

Boosted by the home crowd, Fiorentina continued to attack. Jack Harrison had a shot that missed the post a few minutes later.

In the final seconds of the match, Inter nearly snatched victory when Esposito controlled the ball, turned, and shot, but Fiorentina's goalkeeper David de Gea made an excellent reflex save, helping the home team preserve the score. Ultimately, Fiorentina drew 1-1 with Inter at home.

Inter leads the Serie A standings with 69 points after 30 matches, six points ahead of AC Milan. Meanwhile, Fiorentina sits in 16th place and is two points above the relegation zone.
