Manchester City's showboating left Guardiola shaking his head in dismay, while Arsenal players were furious.

Coach Pep Guardiola was displeased with Rayan Cherki's "showboating" performance in Manchester City's win against Arsenal in the Carabao Cup final.

Manchester City secured a 2-0 victory at Wembley, gaining a psychological edge in the Premier League title race. The match's hero was Nico O'Reilly with a brace, officially ending Arsenal's dream of a quadruple this season.

However, Manchester City's win had a minor blemish due to a controversial incident involving Cherki. In the 69th minute, with City leading 2-0 and the game fully under control, the French midfielder received a long pass from Rodri on the left flank. After controlling the ball with his chest and foot, Cherki kept the ball from touching the ground by performing three consecutive juggling moves on the pitch, delighting Manchester City fans.

Yet, the reaction from the coaching staff was completely opposite. Television cameras captured Guardiola merely shaking his head in exasperation. When substituting Cherki late in the match, the Spanish strategist appeared to give a reminder to his player.

Meanwhile, Cherki's actions also displeased Arsenal players. Ben White and Noni Madueke immediately closed in. Although Cherki managed to pass the ball before being pressured, he was still subjected to a strong collision from White shortly after. Fortunately, the French player was not injured and continued playing until his substitution.

Despite the controversial incident, the final outcome remained unchanged as Manchester City claimed a 2-0 victory to secure the championship.

Cherki has had an impressive start in his Manchester City jersey this season, with 9 goals and 10 assists across all competitions. Despite starting only 23 out of 41 appearances, the 21-year-old is expected to receive more opportunities in the decisive phase of the season, as he increasingly proves his vital role in Guardiola's system.
