Griezmann completes contract with Orlando in the US

Forward Antoine Griezmann is preparing to travel to Orlando (USA) to finalize the last procedures for his contract to join Orlando City starting from the next season.

According to information from Marca, the French striker will take advantage of Atletico Madrid's short break to fly to the US and conclude the final details of the transfer deal. This trip is fully agreed upon by Atletico, the club has granted permission for him to go to the US to sign the contract considered the "final stage" of his illustrious career.

Griezmann is expected to still fully play the remainder of the season in Atletico's colors, aiming to win titles, especially the King's Cup and Champions League, before officially moving to play in MLS.

Both Atletico and Griezmann agree that he deserves to leave the club in the most complete way. Not only is he the top scorer in the club's history, the French forward is also among the players with the most appearances for the club.

Finalizing his future during the break allows Griezmann to fully focus on the rest of the season. Immediately upon returning, Atletico will enter a series of important matches, including the Champions League clash with Barcelona and the King's Cup final against Real Sociedad.

On Orlando City's side, the MLS club is eagerly awaiting a high-profile signing. Griezmann is not only a World Cup champion but also an icon of Atletico Madrid.
