Malaysia national team coach Peter Cklamovski affirms determination to defeat Vietnam right at Thiên Trường Stadium on March 31.
Before the match against Vietnam national team in the Asian Cup 2027 qualifying round, Malaysia national team head coach Peter Cklamovski shared notable remarks. Despite facing severe crisis following FIFA and AFC sanctions, the Australian strategist still believes his players can defeat Vietnam national team right on their opponent's home ground.
“I enjoy every moment in this job. When looking at what we have done and what we can control, those are positive outcomes – our performance and progress in football,” Coach Cklamovski said.
“Things beyond our control are disappointing. My task is to lead the team through that phase,” he added.
Regarding the match against Vietnam national team, Coach Cklamovski commented:“This will be an emotionally challenging match (for Vietnam), but also an opportunity for us to mature. We have the chance to achieve something special because Malaysia has not defeated Vietnam away for a long time. This will be an opportunity for 'Malaysian Tigers' to assert their position.”
Before traveling to Vietnam for the match, Malaysia national team conducted training in Thailand with 28 players. However, according to latest information, this team has excluded two naturalized players Bergson Da Silva and Giancarlo Gallifuoco as both failed to complete registration procedures according to regulations.
The match between Malaysia national team and Vietnam national team will take place at 19:00 on March 31 at Thiên Trường Stadium.
