Many fans believe the Malaysian national team has become more careful in utilizing naturalized players in the 2027 Asian Cup qualification round.
Recently, the Malaysian national team announced the squad preparing for the match against Vietnam in the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers. This list includes only a few naturalized players who are not very well-known and have played many years in Malaysia. Therefore, many fans believe the Malaysian team has become more cautious in using naturalized players.
"After the incident of falsifying documents, it seems Malaysia has become more careful and does not dare to use a large number of players indiscriminately. The two new naturalized players are not a concern as they are already older. As for player Nacho, it is likely an unclear case. regarding his origin, so they dare not call him up for use. If discovered, then penalties will pile up.
It is truly puzzling that Malaysia committed such a major violation but receiveda lighter punishment compared to Timor previously. With 7 illegally recruited players, it shows Malaysia is unusually strong. With this lineup, it is predicted Malaysia will lose by 2, 3 goals in the upcoming match against the national team of Vietnam", shared by Facebook user Stevie Nguyen.
"It seems this Nacho player from Malaysia has also not completed the football federation transfer process, similar to Le Giang of the national team of Vietnam. And the two new naturalized players of Malaysia have both played for the national U teams of other countries already.", said Facebook user Thang Kho.
"If they call him up to play, it might just lead to another 0-3 defeat. If information and documents are not 100% verified, he cannot play. Malaysia is now far behind Vietnam in points, so they won't risk using players with unverified records. Doing so again could lead to disqualification from the ASEAN Cup and even the World Cup qualifiers.", Facebook user Nguyen Hoang Viet believes Malaysia is being cautious with new naturalized players.

"Bergson is also old now, this player is already 35 years old. Moreover, last season hisformwas no longer exceptional like previous seasons. If they naturalize this player currently playing for JDT, he can only play in the upcoming AFF Cup. Next year there are two Southeast Asian tournaments for Malaysia to deploy their squad.", Facebook user HD Nam thinks Malaysia will go all out at the AFF Cup.
"It is likely that after receiving penalties from FIFA and AFC, Malaysia is no longer overly strong in using naturalized players. It seems they have become more careful, investigating origins clearly, checking necessary documents to avoid unnecessary penalties in the future.
Additionally, there are two upcoming AFF Cup tournaments for Malaysia to compete with their best full naturalized squad. In this 2027 Asian Cup qualifier, they no longer have the chance to compete for top spot in the group. Further ahead are the World Cup qualifiers.", Facebook user Hoai Vu shared his personal view.
"Nacho is also quality, but this player alone cannot carry Malaysia's domestic players. The other two naturalized players are not too outstanding. Malaysia in the match against the national team of Vietnam will be exposed immediately.", Facebook user Khoa Nguyen believes Malaysia will be exposed in the match at Thiên Trường Stadium.
The Vietnamese national team will face the Malaysian national team at Thiên Trường Stadium in the final match of the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers on March 31. This is an opportunity for coach Kim Sang Sik and his team to repay the debt from the match in Malaysia and assert their strength when Malaysia no longer has quality naturalized players.
