Thai player announces scoring and defeating Vietnam U23

After scoring against China U23, Thai U23 player Hanafi Mama sets high goals for the match against Vietnam U23.

After the 2-2 draw against host China U23, the Thai U23 team quickly resumed training on March 26 morning to prepare for the next match against Vietnam U23.

Sharing at the training session, player Hanafi Mama - who scored the opening goal for the Southeast Asian representative, said: "I am very happy that we passed the first match. Even though it was a draw. Regarding personal performance, I am very happy to have scored a goal, and scoring for the national team is my dream."

"I still have many things to improve. For example, team coordination, including first-touch ability, which I haven't done well. I need to try to communicate more with teammates, find space for them,"this player added.

Notably, speaking about the goal in the second match against Vietnam, Mama confirmed that he and the whole team will strive to score to defeat the opponent:

"National team matches are different from the Thai Championship. In the league, we have trained for a long time, but when training for the national team, we have just gathered. We will try to score and win in the next match. I hope fans will watch and support us in the upcoming match."

Regarding Vietnam U23, coach Dinh Hong Vinh and his team also earned 1 point after the first round when drawing with North Korea U23 with a 1-1 score.
