On the evening of March 26, at Hang Day Stadium (Hanoi), the Vietnam national team secured a 3-0 victory over Bangladesh in an international friendly match during the FIFA Days in March 2026. Goals from Tuan Hai, Xuan Manh, and Hai Long helped Coach Kim Sang-sik and his team have a smooth rehearsal ahead of welcoming Malaysia in the final qualifying round for the Asian Cup 2027.

In the 4th minute, Vietnam had its first dangerous opportunity when Tien Anh delivered a favorable cross for Hoang Hen to finish, but the shot lacked accuracy. Shortly after, the home team continuously created threatening situations, including Quang Hai's shot and another chance for Hoang Hen, yet they couldn't convert into goals.

The persistent pressure finally materialized in the 8th minute. From Tien Anh's corner kick, an awkward ball caused confusion in Bangladesh's defense, allowing Tuan Hai to score from close range, opening the scoring for the Vietnam national team.

In the 24th minute, from a free-kick situation on the right flank, Quang Hai accurately lofted the ball for Xuan Manh to head home, raising the score to 2-0. Before the first half ended, Hai Long made his mark with a skillful dribble and precise left-footed finish in the 38th minute, securing a 3-0 advantage for the Vietnam national team.
