Hoàng Hên speaks about his debut for the Vietnamese national team: 'The dream has become reality'

"The dream has become reality! Vietnam. Truly happy with the debut and victory yesterday." That is the emotional sharing of Đỗ Hoàng Hên on his personal page after his first match wearing the Vietnamese national team jersey.

On the evening of March 26 at Hàng Đẫy Stadium, the Vietnamese national team convincingly defeated Bangladesh 3-0 in an international friendly match. This was not only an important warm-up for coach Kim Sang Sik and his team but also marked a notable debut for naturalized midfielder Hoàng Hên.

Hoàng Hên was trusted by coach Kim Sang Sik to be given the opportunity to play the full 90 minutes in his first appearance for the national team. Even though this was just his debut, this midfielder showed confidence and integrated quite quickly into the team's overall play.

Throughout the match, Hoàng Hên played energetically, actively moved, and created many dangerous situations towards the opponent's goal. Unfortunately, the 1994-born player still lacked a bit of luck to make his mark with a goal.

One of the most notable moments came when Hoàng Hên's shot found the post, leaving fans regretful. Additionally, he had some dangerous long-range shots that either went wide of the goal or were saved by the Bangladesh goalkeeper.

Although unable to score, Hoàng Hên's performance was still considered acceptable, especially given that this was his first time wearing the Vietnamese national team jersey.

The friendly match against Bangladesh also witnessed a convincing performance by the Vietnamese national team. All three goals were scored in the first half, clearly reflecting the superiority in skill and match control created by coach Kim Sang Sik's players.

With proactive play, good ball control, and flexible coordination, the Vietnamese national team almost completely dominated the match. Bangladesh could only defend and did not create many significant opportunities towards the host team's goal.

The 3-0 victory not only brought confidence to the Vietnamese national team but also served as a perfect rehearsal before entering important upcoming matches.

After his notable debut, Hoàng Hên will continue to have opportunities to prove himself when the Vietnamese national team faces Malaysia on March 31.
