Malaysian players are cautioned about their away match at Thien Truong Stadium, a venue with 30,000 seats.
Former fitness coach of Nam Dinh Club, Mashiedee Sulaiman, admits that the atmosphere at Thien Truong Stadium could create immense pressure for Malaysian players in the rematch against the Vietnamese national team.
Coach Kim Sang Sik and his team will face the Malaysian national team at Thien Truong Stadium on March 31 in the Asian Cup 2027 qualifiers. Previously, the Vietnamese national team officially secured a spot in the Asian Cup 2027 finals, making this rematch merely procedural. Nevertheless, this is predicted to be a challenging away match for Malaysia, following their punishment by FIFA and AFC for falsifying documents for seven naturalized players.

According to Mashiedee Sulaiman, the atmosphere at this "cauldron" resembles the home ground of "Kelantan in the past," extremely lively with passionate support from home fans, who can create tremendous pressure on the visiting team.
"The atmosphere at Thien Truong is incredible. Their fans are very passionate and sit very close to the players. This can create enormous pressure for the opponents," Mashiedee Sulaiman shared.
Currently working at Kuala Lumpur City Club, Mashiedee emphasizes that his experience in Vietnam has given him a clear understanding of the psychological factor's importance for Malaysian national team players when playing away at Thien Truong Stadium.
The journey of the Malaysian fitness coach in Vietnam began in 2019 before being briefly interrupted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, Mashiedee returned to Nam Dinh Club in 2023, further strengthening his experience with Vietnamese football.

During his time there, Mashiedee also worked with some key players of the Vietnamese national team, including Nguyen Xuan Son and Do Hoang Hen, who recently debuted for the Vietnamese national team in the match against Bangladesh.
Mashiedee stated that these experiences have helped him understand the playing style and mental strength of Vietnamese players, which the Malaysian national team needs to pay special attention to if they want to achieve a favorable result.
