CBA Rankings Undergo Major Changes: Liaoning Falls to Guangzhou, Xinjiang Triumphs over Tongxi, Qingdao Narrowly Defeated by Zhejiang in Overtime

On March 28 Beijing time, the CBA regular season continued with four matches concluding last night. Beijing Control secured a 94-78 victory over Ningbo, whose three-point shooting was silenced. Guangzhou comfortably defeated Liaoning 93-77, Qingdao lost 96-100 to Zhejiang in overtime after a hard-fought battle, and Xinjiang ended its losing streak with a 94-87 win over Tongxi. Consequently, the latest rankings have been released: Qingdao is 7th, Zhejiang 8th, Liaoning 11th, and Guangzhou 12th!

Beijing Control versus Ningbo. In the first half, each team had a strong quarter, resulting in a tug-of-war. However, in the second half, Ningbo's three-point offense was stifled by Beijing Control's tight defense. Beijing Control, with multiple players contributing, launched an offensive surge to widen the gap, ultimately securing a double-digit victory—a truly rare sight!

Guangzhou versus Liaoning. Guangzhou maintained efficient scoring and suppressed Liaoning with their firepower through the first three quarters. Liaoning rallied in the final quarter, narrowing the deficit, but Xu Xin stepped up dominantly, extinguishing Liaoning's comeback momentum. Liaoning couldn't mount a resistance, allowing Guangzhou to claim the victory!

Qingdao versus Zhejiang. The match was an intense tug-of-war, with each team having a strong quarter in the first half and the score seesawing. The second half remained tightly contested. At the crucial moment, Cheng ShuaiPeng sank three free throws to force overtime. The overtime period was equally balanced, and at the decisive juncture, Cheng ShuaiPeng again sealed the game with two free throws, resulting in Qingdao's narrow defeat to Zhejiang!

Xinjiang versus Tongxi. Xinjiang, once a powerhouse, has become a struggling team this season due to poor foreign player selections, with its performance outside the playoff zone and little hope left. Recently suffering a four-game losing streak, they faced Tongxi this round. The first quarter was evenly matched, with neither side able to pull away. Subsequently, Tongxi's offense faltered while Xinjiang gradually unleashed its attacking power, steadily widening the gap. Abudu provided steady scoring output. In the final quarter, Tongxi attempted a comeback to narrow the deficit, but Xinjiang held firm against the pressure to seize the victory. Thus, Xinjiang secured a hard-fought win, ending its slump and bouncing back from the bottom!
