In the second match of Group A, U15 National Championship Finals – Morden Cup 2026, SLNA and Ninh Bình both claimed wins against Tây Ninh and TP.HCM. With 6 points following two rounds, the Nghệ-based team has swiftly secured their passage to the quarterfinals.
Previously in the opening matches, SLNA and Tây Ninh successively overcame Ninh Bình and TP.HCM. Entering the second round, the clash between SLNA and Tây Ninh was considered the focal point of Group A, as both sides demonstrated good form and possessed a high-speed playing style.
Right after the starting whistle, both teams entered the match with determination and created a closely contested situation. A surprise occurred in the 9th minute when SLNA organized a quick attacking move, Trương Văn Tài fired two consecutive shots to open the scoring for the Nghệ team.
The early goal allowed SLNA to play more proactively, but Tây Ninh also showed resilience with several dangerous counterattacks. Although both sides generated quite a few notable situations, the first half concluded without any additional goals.
In the second half, the match became more exciting as both SLNA and Tây Ninh pushed their formations higher to attack.
