Van Thuan Celebrates the Vital Goal for Ninh Binh Club

"We controlled the ball better, created more opportunities, and the victory was deserved. Becamex TP.HCM is a very strong team, so the match was difficult as expected.

Thuan is one of the notable talents. I really like him, but currently he is more suitable coming onto the field in the second half to maximize effectiveness. He will continue to be used as a strategic card for the remainder of the season, before becoming a pillar in Ninh Binh's near future.

Currently, Hoang Duc has returned to normal. If risking it, I could let him start, but we only used him for about the final 10–15 minutes of the match to ensure safety," Coach Vu Tien Thanh answered at the post-match press conference.

Tay Ninh played very hard and organized a pressing style to limit the opponent's attacking strength. However, Hanoi I still demonstrated composure at the right moment. In the 66th minute, Minh Huy scored to break the deadlock, opening the score to 1-0.

Boosted by the goal, Coach Sy Hai's students continued to maintain the dominant game situation. By the 77th minute, Duc Dat scored to raise the score to 2-0. This was also the final result, helping Hanoi I secure qualification for the final.

In the other semifinal between SLNA I and The Cong Viettel I, both teams started cautiously. The Cong Viettel I secured a 2-1 victory and earned a ticket to the final.

Thus, the final match of the National U15 Football Tournament – Modern Cup 2026 will be a confrontation between Hanoi I and The Cong Viettel I. Meanwhile, SLNA I and Tay Ninh share the Third Place overall.

PVF CAND Satisfied with One Point Against CAHN

One point from the draw with CAHN Club helped PVF CAND climb to the 13th position on the temporary LPBank V-League 2025/26 standings.

Midfielder Xuan Bac, who scored the goal bringing the valuable point, shared:

"In the recent season, our team faced many difficulties. This is a very precious point for PVF CAND to maintain hope of staying in the league this season.

Certainly, this point will help me personally as well as the whole team gain more confidence in upcoming matches. PVF CAND and Hanoi Police have trained and played against each many times, so we somewhat understand each other's playing style.

The whole team today played with over 100% spirit to secure one point at home."

After round 18, PVF CAND surpassed SHB Da Nang to climb to 13th place with one more point.

Referee Mistakenly Denies Xuan Son a Penalty

The Referee Management Board of VFF determined that referee Nguyen Trung Kien made an error by not awarding Thep Xanh Nam Dinh a penalty in their 1-2 loss to HAGL in round 18 of LPBank V.League 1-2025/26.

The controversial incident occurred in the 76th minute at Thien Truong Stadium on the evening of April 11. From a cross by Caio Cesar on the right flank, Xuan Son rushed into the penalty area to meet the ball but was affected by defender Quang Kiet while jumping, causing the header attempt to fail.

According to slow-motion footage, the HAGL player had an action of wrapping his arm and restraining Xuan Son's shoulder inside the penalty area. After review, the VFF Referee Board concluded this was a referee's mistaken judgment.

VFF does not publicly disclose penalty details because FIFA regulations do not allow widespread publication of disciplinary decisions related to referees.
