The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) is reported to have spoken out to quell all speculation about the possibility of moving the 2027 Asian Cup venue away from Saudi Arabia. According to sources from Insideworldfootball, the organization has no plans to seek a replacement host country, despite widespread reports from Australian and British media in recent times.

Previous reports suggested Australia could become a backup option, with even former star Craig Foster lobbying the government and the Australian Football Federation to intervene. However, internal sources confirm there has never been any discussion with member federations about changing the host, revealing AFC's clear stance amid the wave of rumors.

Against the backdrop of escalating geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, AFC continues to closely monitor the situation but has not considered it a factor requiring action.
