Following a training and friendly match period in Japan, the Vietnam U17 women's national team returned home today (April 13), concluding a beneficial training camp aimed at preparing for upcoming important objectives.
During their stay in Japan, the Vietnam U17 women's team quickly settled into their routine, adapted to the weather and field conditions in Nagoya, and maintained a reasonable training load to enhance physical fitness and refine technical skills.
The team played three friendly matches against quality opponents, thereby accumulating valuable international match experience. In the first match, the Vietnam U17 women's team lost 0-5 to Fujieda Junshi High School. Subsequently, they drew 0-0 with Iwata Higashi High School in a balanced encounter. In the final friendly, the Vietnam U17 women's team drew 2-2 with Aichi Toho University, demonstrating clear improvement in gameplay and offensive organization.
According to the plan, after returning home, the Vietnam U17 women's national team will continue training at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center for approximately two weeks to finalize last-stage preparations. Afterwards, the entire team will travel to China to participate in the 2026 AFC U17 Women's Asian Cup Finals, held in Suzhou from May 1.
In the 2026 AFC U17 Women's Asian Cup Finals, the Vietnam U17 women's national team is placed in Group A alongside opponents including host China, Thailand, and Myanmar.
