Ho Chi Minh City Champion vs Hanoi in the 2026 Women's National Cup

On April 15th morning, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) conducted the online draw ceremony for the 2026 Women's National Cup Football Tournament, attended by representatives of the six teams competing this season.

According to the plan, the 2026 Women's National Cup Football Tournament will take place from May 13th to May 27th, 2026 at Thai Nguyen Stadium. This new hosting location compared to previous seasons marks the local area's attention and support for the development of women's football.

Speaking at the draw ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thanh Ha – Deputy General Secretary of VFF, Head of the Tournament Organizing Committee emphasized that the Women's National Cup Football Tournament is one of the important competitions in the national football competition system, contributing to maintaining regular playing opportunities, improving professional quality, and creating conditions for teams and players to continue developing and affirming their capabilities.

At the same time, she expressed gratitude to the teams actively preparing to participate; thanked the host unit Thai Nguyen Province and relevant agencies and departments for their coordination and organizational support; and sincerely thanked press agencies, media, and fans for always accompanying Vietnamese women's football.

The Women's National Cup Football Tournament is one of the important competitions in the national women's football system, continuing to serve as an annual playing field to maintain competition rhythm, enhance professional quality, and provide conditions for clubs and players to accumulate experience, aiming towards the long-term goals of Vietnamese women's football.

According to the draw results, the six participating teams are divided into two groups:

Group A:Thai Nguyen T&T (current runner-up), Hanoi II, and Phong Phu Ha Nam.

Group B: Ho Chi Minh City (current champion), Hanoi I, and Than Khoang San Vietnam.

The 2026 Women's National Cup Football Tournament promises to continue being a high-quality, highly competitive playing field, contributing significantly to the process of developing the squad and elevating the level of Vietnamese women's football at present.
