Not Mourinho, but Perez's rival chooses a coach for Real Madrid

Surprisingly, Jurgen Klopp has been placed into the reconstruction strategy for Real Madrid by a candidate for the presidency, amid the escalating power struggle at the Bernabeu ahead of the election.

The race for the Real Madrid presidency is heating up daily before the election scheduled for this weekend. While Florentino Perez promises to bring star Michael Olise if re-elected, his opponent Enrique Riquelme continues to play a strategic card by publicly revealing the coach he aims to bring to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Earlier, Riquelme had repeatedly hinted at a comprehensive overhaul of the sports structure if he defeats Perez. Now, the 37-year-old candidate confirms that the chosen name is not Jose Mourinho, but Jurgen Klopp, one of the most successful coaches in modern world football.

Businessman Enrique Riquelme says he will bring Jurgen Klopp to Real if he becomes president

According to a statement published by Diario AS, Riquelme's plan is tied to legend Raul Gonzalez, who is nominated for the role of sporting director. "From the very first day he joined the project, Raul only proposed one name. That is a coach who has created an entire era in world football."

"He has won the Champions League, brought Liverpool back to the peak of Europe and England after decades of waiting, turned Dortmund into champions against financial giants, and left behind everywhere he went an identity, fighting spirit, and winning culture."

Riquelme believes that Klopp not only delivers trophies but can also restore the values Real Madrid have been missing in recent times. "We're talking about a leader capable of bringing back to Real Madrid the intensity, competitiveness, professionalism, unity, and winning culture that have always been the club's identity."

He also admits that persuading Jurgen Klopp is extremely difficult

This candidate also acknowledges that convincing Klopp will not be easy at all. "We know Klopp has repeatedly stated he does not want to return to coaching in the short term and has turned down many offers. But Real Madrid is a different challenge. Because there are many great clubs in the world, but only one Real Madrid."

Nevertheless, the chance for this plan to become reality remains uncertain. Klopp has consistently denied rumors of returning to management since leaving Liverpool and currently shows no signs of wanting to come back. That means if he wins the election, Riquelme will face an extremely tough task to make the Klopp dream come true.
