Jurgen Klopp gets angry over being dragged into the Real Madrid presidential election

Through his agent, Jurgen Klopp has publicly dismissed any chance of taking charge at Real Madrid, leaving Enrique Riquelme's election pledge in a precarious position.

The Real Madrid presidential election is heating up like never before, but one of candidate Enrique Riquelme's most prominent promises has just received a strong rebuttal from the person in question.

In recent days, Riquelme has been making bold commitments to compete with incumbent president Florentino Perez. After declaring he would bring Erling Haaland and Rodri Hernandez to the Bernabeu, the 37-year-old businessman went on to claim that Jurgen Klopp would become Real Madrid's head coach if he wins this weekend's election.

However, that plan quickly hit a cold wall. According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, Klopp's agent Marc Kosicke has completely refuted reports linking the German tactician with a return to the coaching bench. "That is really annoying. Jurgen Klopp is happy with his current role at Red Bull and has no ambition to return as a coach at any club."

This statement is seen as the clearest confirmation about the future of the former Liverpool boss. Since leaving Anfield in 2024, Klopp has repeatedly stressed his desire to rest after years of working under immense pressure at the top of European football.

This is also the second time this week that Riquelme's promises have been refuted by the people involved. Previously, he claimed Haaland had agreed to join Real Madrid if he won. However, the Norwegian striker's representatives immediately denied it, stating that no such agreement exists.

These developments are believed to significantly impact Riquelme's election campaign. Meanwhile, Florentino Perez retains a major advantage ahead of the crucial vote on June 7.

If he continues to be trusted, Perez is expected to finalize the appointment of Jose Mourinho as Real Madrid's head coach. As for Riquelme, the dream of bringing Klopp to the Bernabeu seems to have hit a massive obstacle just before the election begins.
