After three matches, Coach Yutaka Ikeuchi's side sits second in Group A with 6 points. U19 Vietnam needs to become the best second-placed team among Groups A, B, and C. This ranking is calculated after excluding results against the last-placed team in each group.

U19 Vietnam currently has 3 points and a goal difference of +4 (6 goals scored, 2 conceded) in the second-placed team standings.

U19 Malaysia has been eliminated after losing to U19 Thailand. U19 Vietnam only needs to have a better record than the second-placed team in Group C to secure a semifinal spot.

The competition in that group will be between U19 Australia (3 points, +10 goal difference) and U19 Cambodia (3 points, +3 goal difference). The two teams will face off at 8:00 PM today.
