After being eliminated in a penalty shootout, these four teams left with their heads held high.

Written by Lin Shuang. In the fourth round of the FA Cup, besides the upset winners Dalian Kewel, Lanzhou Longyuan Jingji, and Shaanxi Union, the teams Shanxi Chongde Ronghai, Hangzhou Linping Wuyue, Qingdao Red Lions, and Wuxi Wugou also drew with Chinese Super League teams in regular time. Although they were eliminated in penalty shootouts, they can be proud of their performance.

Shanxi Chongde Ronghai currently sits sixth in the northern division of the China League Two. In the first two rounds of the FA Cup, they defeated Qingdao Fuli and Changchun Yatai, with the latter match won on penalties. In this game against Qingdao West Coast, they showed no fear.

West Coast's national team goalkeeper Li Hao was rested, and the starting lineup mainly consisted of half of their CSL regulars, but the players were not in ideal form. Aifeierding opened the scoring with a penalty, while Shanxi's Xie Jinzheng equalized with a close-range strike. In the second half, Zhang Chengdong made a crucial goal-line clearance; otherwise, West Coast could have fallen behind.

In the penalty shootout, Shanxi's fifth-round kicker Waili missed his spot kick, and the team lost 4-5 to West Coast, exiting the competition with regret.

Hangzhou Linping Wuyue currently ranks tenth in the southern division of the China League Two. In the first two rounds of the FA Cup, they beat Ningxia Pingluo Hengli and Foshan Nanshi. In this match against Yingbo, they fought bravely and tenaciously.

Yingbo's Zhu Pengyu, Mao Weijie, Yang Mingrui, Liao Jintao, and others all started the match. During the game, they largely controlled the pace. In the 33rd minute, Zhu Pengyu put the team ahead with a penalty. In the 86th minute, Yao Xing equalized with a spectacular long-range strike.

In the penalty shootout, Yingbo converted all five of their penalties, while Hangzhou Linping Wuyue missed their fifth attempt, thus failing to advance to the next round.

Qingdao Red Lions currently ranks eighth in the northern division of the China League Two. In the first two rounds of the FA Cup, they eliminated Chongqing Handa and Nanjing City. In this match against Three Towns, they caused considerable trouble for their opponents.

Three Towns fielded their main lineup except for foreign players, but many of their shots were saved by Red Lions goalkeeper Zhang Donghai. Regular time ended in a 0-0 draw. Unfortunately, they lost 3-4 in the penalty shootout. However, head coach Zhang Yang praised his players' performance, stating that they displayed a tenacious spirit.

Wuxi Wugou currently ranks fourth in the China League One. In the previous round of the FA Cup, they defeated the China League Two team Guangzhou Pugongying. In this match, they faced Hainiu, who only fielded their CSL-suspended foreign player Ye Boya, while local starters such as Lin Chuangyi, Jin Yonghao, Luo Senwen, Li Suda, Jin Yangyang, and Song Wenjie did not play. The match was intense, ending 2-2 in regular time. In the penalty shootout, Hainiu scored all five, while Wuxi missed their third attempt and lost the game.
