Chinese journalist slams Argentina for the third time: It's a disgrace to be in the World Cup final, they were carried by FIFA all the way

On July 20, Beijing time, the World Cup concluded. In the decider, a ten-man Argentina side was beaten 1-0 by Spain in extra time, falling short in their bid to retain the trophy.

Following the match, Ma Dexing, a prominent Chinese journalist with the authority to vote for FIFA's annual best awards within China, again unleashed a torrent of mockery toward the Argentine squad on social media.

Ma Dexing sharply commented: "It is a disgrace for a team like Argentina to take part in a World Cup final. Without FIFA's help all the way, how could they have reached the final?"

Ma Dexing first congratulated Spain on their victory, then turned his fire on Argentina: "A team that plays like Argentina should never have made it to the final. If not for FIFA's relentless support, how could a side that only knows how to defend, barely managed a single decent shot on goal, and created no real threat in this decisive match, possibly get to the final?"

"Such a team appearing in the final is an insult to the World Cup final! FIFA did everything imaginable to ensure Argentina advanced, just to boost ratings. Why did so many people hope Spain would win, and even call for Argentina to be expelled before the final? The people's eyes are sharp! Spain's victory in the end is the most ideal outcome!"

Notably, this is the third consecutive match in which Ma Dexing has lashed out at Argentina. Earlier, in the quarterfinal and round of 16, when Argentina won on extra-time goals against Switzerland and Egypt, Ma Dexing also posted two rants criticizing the team. The Chinese journalist bluntly called Argentina "beneficiaries in every aspect, key protected objects of FIFA," and claimed that "their winning goals on the path to the final were all scripted."
