The Cong Viettel I, PVF, and Hanoi are the first three teams to qualify for the quarterfinals of the 2026 National U17 Championship – Red Dragon Cup.

The 2026 National U17 Championship – Red Dragon Cup has confirmed the first three names to reach the quarterfinal stage after the final matches of Group A concluded. The Cong Viettel I, PVF, and Hanoi are the teams that have early achieved their goal of advancing past the group stage, while the competition for the remaining five spots remains highly intense in Groups B and C.

The highlight of the final round of Group A was the race for the top two positions. At Ham Rong Stadium 4, LPBank HAGL ended their tournament with a 1-0 victory over PVF. The only goal, scored by Ha Thanh Phuoc An in the first half, gave the mountainous team their first three points. However, this result was not enough for LPBank HAGL to improve their standing, as they remained at the bottom of the group and were officially eliminated.

Despite the loss, PVF still achieved their goal of reaching the quarterfinals. This team controlled most of the match but failed to capitalize on their chances, even having to play with ten men late in the game after Nguyen Ngoc Anh Hao's red card. With a better goal difference than SHB Da Nang, PVF maintained second place in Group A and became the second team from the group to advance to the knockout stage.

In the other match, The Cong Viettel I drew 0-0 with SHB Da Nang in a tense contest. Both teams had to play with ten men after each received a red card in the first half. The draw allowed The Cong Viettel I to finish the group stage as leaders of Group A and secure a quarterfinal spot, while SHB Da Nang must wait for results from other groups to keep their hopes alive as one of the two best third-placed teams.

In Group C, Hanoi was the first team to secure their place in the quarterfinals after two consecutive victories. The capital's representative showed consistent form and effective play, becoming the third team to definitely be part of the round for the top eight teams in the tournament.

According to the regulations, the eight quarterfinal spots will go to the top two teams from each group plus the two best third-placed teams. With only three teams confirmed to advance so far, the competition for the remaining five spots promises to be fierce in the final rounds, which is expected to bring many surprises at the 2026 National U17 Championship – Red Dragon Cup.
