OFFICIAL: The final pair of the 2026 National U17 Championship has been determined.

Hue and PVF brilliantly advanced past the semi-finals to compete in the National U17 Championship final.

On the afternoon of July 27, the two semi-final matches of the 2026 National U17 Championship – Red Dragon Cup took place vibrantly at Pleiku Stadium (Gia Lai), determining the two names that will feature in the final showdown. After intense encounters, Hue and PVF overcame their opponents to earn the right to compete for the championship, promising an eagerly anticipated final.

In the first semi-final, Hue and SHB Da Nang created an exciting Central region derby from the opening minutes. With an active playing style and better ability to seize opportunities, the representative from the ancient capital took an early lead in the 16th minute thanks to a goal by Viet Tai. However, SHB Da Nang quickly responded when Dinh Giang equalized in the 36th minute, bringing both teams back to the starting point before halftime.

The second half saw a tight contest as both Hue and SHB Da Nang played cautiously but not without dangerous attacks. Just when many thought a penalty shootout was inevitable, Hue made excellent use of a set-piece in the 86th minute. From a corner kick on the right wing, Duc Tri leaped high to head the ball accurately, sealing a 2-1 victory and sending the ancient capital team to the National U17 final for the first time in history.

Meanwhile, the remaining semi-final witnessed a showdown between defending champions Hanoi and PVF. The capital city team controlled the game better, constantly applying pressure and creating numerous scoring opportunities. Nevertheless, the purple-shirted strikers lacked precision in their final attempts. Even a goal scored against PVF early in the second half was disallowed due to an offside violation.

On the other side, PVF once again demonstrated the resilience of a team rich in experience in youth tournaments. Despite not having much possession, the white-shirted team knew how to make a difference in decisive moments. In the 63rd minute, Tuan Kiet executed a beautiful free kick to open the scoring, securing a crucial advantage. In the remaining time, PVF organized a tight defense, neutralizing all of Hanoi's pressure to preserve a narrow 1-0 victory.

With these results, the final match of the 2026 National U17 Championship – Red Dragon Cup will be a showdown between Hue and PVF. On one side is Hue, making its first appearance in a cup final; on the other is PVF, a traditional youth training academy always highly regarded in domestic competitions. The encounter promises to deliver an exciting competition to determine the new champion of Vietnamese youth football.
