The highly anticipated forward of Becamex Ho Chi Minh City Club, Bui Vi Hao, suddenly got injured following a training session over the past weekend.
According to initial diagnosis, the 23-year-old striker has a severe injury in his left knee, requiring surgery and a long-term absence from play.
The absence of Bui Vi Hao leaves the team without a key attacking weapon, forcing the coaching staff to reinforce the forward line.
In addition to foreign striker Daniel Dos Anjos, naturalized forward Hoang Vu Samson, and Nguyen Tran Viet Cuong (currently with the Vietnam national team), Coach Gerard Albadalejo wants Becamex HCMC's attack to have at least two more players with extensive V-League experience.

Bui Vi Hao's injury further pushes the Spanish tactician to choose Ha Duc Chinh. Although no longer at his peak form, the 29-year-old striker has many years of experience playing for the Vietnam national team as well as a wealth of V-League experience.
He is the type of forward who can rotate the squad or provide different tactical options that Coach Gerard Albadalejo needs. In the short term, Ha Duc Chinh will share the scoring burden with the current forwards while also increasing the team's squad depth to aim for competitiveness in the 2026-2027 V-League and National Cup.
In the current context, finding a quality local striker is not easy. Even with financial resources, clubs find it very difficult to recruit because most experienced scorers are already settled. Therefore, Ha Duc Chinh's return to Becamex Ho Chi Minh City is seen as a viable option.
Coach Gerard Albadalejo himself has been following Ha Duc Chinh in recent seasons and understands the difficulties the striker from Phu Thọ province faces in terms of scoring.
The Spanish manager spent a lot of time talking with Duc Chinh to help him relieve psychological pressure.
He believes that under his guidance and the tactical system being built, the 29-year-old striker can fully regain his form and "revive" in the 2026-2027 V-League season.
