Rashford returns to Manchester United training next week! Rejects Tottenham and Chelsea again, only willing to join a Champions League top club.

Marcus Rashford, aged 28, will conclude his three-week post-World Cup break next week, set to rejoin Manchester United on August 9. It will be his first time training with the squad in more than a year. Last summer, former boss Ruben Amorim barred him from the locker room, forcing him to train individually. He has not featured for his club since December 2024.

Manchester United's primary intention is to sell Rashford, a situation that has persisted for over a year. The club never planned to keep him, and he has received offers from several clubs. However, Rashford has always been eager to join Barcelona or other top teams. But these clubs currently show no interest in him. Therefore, United is preparing for him to stay.

Barcelona gave up the €30 million (£26 million) option to buy Rashford, having already signed English winger Anthony Gordon and German striker Karim Adeyemi. There is no room for Rashford in the squad unless some current players leave, which might lead them to reconsider a loan.

Before Rashford's return to Manchester United, British media have created many new rumors. Among them, talkSPORT radio claims that Tottenham Hotspur is the most likely club to sign Rashford, willing to offer £30 million. Roberto De Zerbi's team has been lavish this summer, spending £237 million to sign several new midfield and defensive players.

Now, Tottenham's targets are attacking players. Manchester City's Savinho and Bournemouth's Eli Kroupi are top choices. However, the latter suffered a serious fracture and may be out until Christmas, so De Zerbi has to look elsewhere. talkSPORT's chief transfer reporter Alex Crook says they could opt for Rashford.

'I'm not sure if Rashford is the type of player Arteta wants. If you look at what he has done and why Arsenal have been so successful under his management, you'll see he has cleared out the problematic players in the dressing room, so I'm not sure he would welcome Rashford with open arms,' Crook said. 'I think if he goes to London, I would look at Tottenham. I think the deal is very likely; De Zerbi believes he can maximize Rashford's potential.'

But he also admitted that Rashford's wages are a major obstacle. 'In terms of transfer fee, it's a cheap deal. I think Manchester United would accept a £30 million offer. But you have to consider his weekly salary of £325,000 at Old Trafford, and he seems unwilling to take a pay cut.'

The Sun says that odds favor Chelsea signing Rashford because Xabi Alonso's team needs experienced players. They recently signed former United player Danny Welbeck and are also planning to bring in Liverpool's former midfielder Jordan Henderson.

But the possibility of Rashford joining any Premier League club is very low. It is understood that Manchester United prefers to sell him to an overseas club.

Not only that, Rashford himself is only willing to join European giants that have Champions League qualification and can compete for titles, such as Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and Paris Saint-Germain.

There are even rumors linking Rashford to Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr, which is somewhat absurd because Cristiano Ronaldo's team has been banned from registering new players due to debts exceeding €200 million, so naturally they cannot sign United's star.

Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano poured cold water on Rashford's transfer: 'In the past 24 hours, rumors about Rashford have been endless. From what I understand, Rashford will only leave Manchester United if a top European club wants him. Otherwise, he will stay at Manchester United.'
