Coach Gavin Lee: 'Singapore's goal is to win against the Vietnam national team'

Although playing on the road at My Dinh, Singapore's head coach Gavin Lee is determined to achieve a full three-point victory over Kim Sang Sik's side.

"We are very excited for the match against Vietnam. Singapore has had good results in the previous two matches, and I hope for a similar outcome when facing Vietnam.

I haven't changed my mind. In every match, Singapore aims for victory. What matters is what we can do. Our goal is to win against Vietnam", Coach Gavin Lee began the pre-match press conference.

"The Vietnam team is completely different from Cambodia and Timor-Leste. For the match against Vietnam, we try to use the experience gained from our training camp in Japan to perform well.

As head coach, I will use my abilities to help Singapore players play well, including issues of speed.

The way we start every match is the same, but after that, we try to control the game. Facing Vietnam is a difficult match, but we still try to control the game and achieve our goal of winning.

Every player in the team is important. Our starting point is a united collective.

Izwan Mahbud is a good goalkeeper. I hope all Singapore players, including Ilhan Fandi later, can also show such a role".

Assessing the Vietnam team, Mr. Gavin Lee affirmed: "Vietnam not only has good individuals but also a strong collective and a good coach.
