Nam Dinh Club recruits Vietnamese-French striker Kalvin Luong

Steel Xanh Nam Dinh Club keeps reinforcing its lineup for the 2026/27 season, having officially confirmed the signing of French-born Vietnamese striker Kalvin Luong.

Kalvin Luong was born on April 13, 2002, and stands 1.81m tall. The 24-year-old striker grew up and played for many years in Europe before deciding to return to Vietnam to test his skills.

According to the introduction from the Nam Dinh club, Kalvin Luong is highly regarded for his solid physical foundation, ideal physique, intelligent movement, and modern playing style. The 2002-born striker also impresses with his positioning skills, ability to create space, and effective coordination in attacking situations.

At 24, Kalvin Luong still has plenty of room for development. The leadership of Steel Xanh Nam Dinh hopes that the Vietnamese-French newcomer will bring youth, a desire to contribute, and increase competition in the team's attack.

The recruitment of Kalvin Luong is the latest step in Steel Xanh Nam Dinh's squad upgrade campaign ahead of the new season. Previously, the home team of Thien Truong Stadium had successively announced notable signings such as striker Pham Tuan Hai from Hanoi FC and central defender Felix Eboa Eboa, demonstrating their ambition to continue competing for titles in the 2026/27 season.

On the other hand, Steel Xanh Nam Dinh Club also carried out a squad overhaul after last season, saying goodbye to a series of foreign players and some players no longer in the plans, while adding new elements suitable for the direction of building the squad for the new season.

With the arrival of Kalvin Luong, Steel Xanh Nam Dinh's attack will have an additional personnel option full of potential.

If he quickly adapts to the V.League environment, the Vietnamese-French striker is expected to provide more options for the coaching staff in their journey to achieve the goals of the 2026/27 season.
