Dinh Bac speaks out after being substituted early by coach Kim Sang Sik

Forward Nguyen Dinh Bac openly acknowledged that he did not play well in the 0-0 draw against Singapore, and stated that he respects coach Kim Sang Sik's decision to substitute him, vowing to respond to the coaching staff's confidence with improved displays in future games.

After coach Kim Sang Sik frankly assessed that Nguyen Dinh Bac "did not do well what the coaching staff had prepared" and decided to substitute the striker from the 41st minute in the 0-0 draw with Singapore, the 2004-born forward himself also spoke up to reflect on his performance.

Dinh Bac admitted that he had a game that did not meet expectations and fully respects coach Kim Sang Sik's decision.

"I feel that I didn't play well. The coach substituting me is normal in football. I respect the coaching staff's decision and will try harder in the upcoming matches," Dinh Bac shared.

The Vietnam national team striker said that after the match, coach Kim Sang Sik directly encouraged and gave feedback for him to learn from and improve the limitations in his playing style.

"The coach encouraged me a lot. I will try to train well to repay the coaching staff's trust and have a better performance in the next matches," Dinh Bac said.

Dinh Bac's sharing also shows agreement with coach Kim Sang Sik's viewpoint. The Korean manager affirmed that pulling the 22-year-old striker off the field was entirely due to professional requirements, while emphasizing that he will continue working to help the student maximize his potential in upcoming matches.

"With what we had prepared, I assessed that Dinh Bac did not complete his task, so I substituted him. As for Tai Loc, he played up to requirements, just unlucky when his shot hit the crossbar.

Vietnam will try to use these two players well in the next matches. I know Dinh Bac is regretful, but he has to sacrifice for the team's common goal. In the following matches, I will encourage and motivate Bac to play better," coach Kim Sang Sik replied in the post-match press conference.
