Arsenal can buy Alvarez and Bruno!

Vinicius is a nearly unattainable dream for Arsenal, yet the "Gunners" are entitled to be optimistic about two major signings: Julian Alvarez and Bruno Guimaraes.

Successfully signing Alvarez and Bruno, who have proven themselves in the Premier League, could elevate Arsenal's strength to a new level.

Alvarez is feasible.

After ending more than two decades of pursuing the Premier League title, Arsenal's interest in Vinicius Junior has excited the Gunners' fans. One of the best wingers in the world, at the peak of his career, is clearly a name that any club would dream of. But interest is one thing, success is another. Looking at the current context, Arsenal will be more realistic with Julian Alvarez and Bruno Guimaraes.

What makes the Vinicius deal difficult is not Arsenal's financial capability, but rather Real Madrid's stance and the Brazilian star himself. The Spanish royal club has no incentive to sell Vini. Even though Kylian Mbappe is becoming the new focal point in attack, Vinicius remains one of the club's iconic figures, both in terms of skill and commercial value. The 26-year-old possesses a game-changing ability that few can match.

More importantly, Real Madrid has never signaled a desire to part ways with Vinicius. On the contrary, the club's leadership has repeatedly stated that he remains part of the long-term plan, and the two sides continue to negotiate a contract extension. Even if Arsenal were to accept a high price and break their wage structure, they would almost certainly fail to bring Vini to the Emirates.

Meanwhile, Julian Alvarez emerges as a special opportunity in the transfer market. Unlike Vinicius, the Argentine striker has publicly expressed his desire to leave Atletico Madrid. As early as the 2026 World Cup started, Alvarez himself spoke of moving to a new environment, seeing Atletico's chances of competing for titles as bleak. When a player actively states his intention to leave, the dynamics of negotiations change completely.

It's true that Atletico maintains a firm stance and declares they don't want to sell. Barcelona is also reportedly a dream destination for Alvarez, with Hansi Flick seeing him as a replacement for Robert Lewandowski. However, this actually opens an opportunity for Arsenal. Barca faces financial difficulties, already have Anthony Gordon and Karim Adeyemi, and Atletico certainly doesn't want to strengthen a direct La Liga rival. If they receive a sufficiently attractive offer from England, they will have many reasons to consider it.

More importantly, Alvarez is almost a tailor-made striker for Arteta's football. Alvarez is a modern forward who can drop deep to link play, play as a "number 10" when needed, drift wide to create space for teammates, and is one of the most aggressive pressing forwards in the world. It was this versatility that helped him shine in the star-studded Man City squad.

Bruno Guimaraes deal is within reach.

For many seasons, Arsenal has lacked a true attacking leader. Mikel Arteta needs to refresh the squad for ambitions to defend the Premier League and conquer the Champions League. The arrival of Alvarez would not only add goals but also give Arteta more tactical options, especially in big matches where off-the-ball movement and pressure from the front line are decisive.

If Alvarez solves the goal-scoring problem, then Bruno Guimaraes is the ideal piece for Arsenal's already strong midfield. Bruno has long been considered one of the most complete midfielders in the Premier League. He can both win back possession and organize play, while also being creative enough to deliver decisive passes. He is the type of player Arsenal needs to give Declan Rice more freedom to create and advance into the opponent's box.

Martin Odegaard is still the captain, but fitness issues have reduced the Norwegian midfielder's influence. He also gets easily marked out of games as opponents know him well. Bruno would help relieve that pressure. The Brazilian international's ability to control the tempo, escape pressure, and carry the ball will give Arsenal another avenue of attack. Although not as publicly outspoken as Alvarez, Bruno has expressed his desire to leave Newcastle, especially as Gordon and Sandro Tonali have successively departed. Bruno has long planned to join Arsenal, and Newcastle respects his decision as one of the most influential players since the Saudi Arabian fund invested in the club.
